Grand Knights Message: Brothers,
In April your council participated in the Annual Respect Life Dinner, the Mother and Unborn Baby fund raiser, the final Fish Fry dinner of the Fraternal Year, members attended the 6th Annual Men’s Conference. We also kicked off the Fundraiser with IHOP, visited Rose hill and gave them their MI Drive Check, and assisted the Squires with cleaning up the planting beds at Mary’s Children.
In May we have already celebrated The Ascension of the Lord and Pentecost. We helped our sister council at Holy Name Parish, in Birmingham, host their first Spaghetti Dinner, to benefit St. Christine’s Soup Kitchen and Food Bank. Your council also participated in the First Mass for Rev. Charles Altermat, a brother Knight, at which Most Rev. Bishop Flores was the homilist.
Upcoming this month, we will honor our Armed Forces, send 2 representatives the 2008 State Convention, celebrate Corpus Christi, and March in the Memorial Day Parade.
We wish to congratulate our Brother Knight Rev. Sir Knight Tomasz Maka. Fr. Maka as he was made Pastor of Immaculate Conception parish in Ira Township. We wish to also congratulate Rev. Saiosi Patau as he is assigned to Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington.
Vivat Jesus, Mark L. Palmer Grand Knight
