FROM THE GRAND KNIGHT.....

Congratulations, to all of the installed Officers of our council. On August 8th, we had a very successful Installation of council officers. We were honored by the attendance of our Worthy State Advocate Michael Malinowski and his wife Maureen. We were also honored to have Grand Knights from other councils, Sr. Noreen, Monsignor Easton and guests from the parish and community in attendance. This was a very unique installation. I would also like to thank my wife Pat Iannotti, along with Pat Guarino and Mary Recchia for their efforts in hosting the reception afterward.

At the time of the Installation, our council did not have a Recorder due to the appointment of Joe Guarino as Financial Secretary. However after the Installation, Brother Chet Ostrowski submitted his name for the position of Recorder. On August 22nd, Chet was nominated and elected as our Recorder. Congratulations Chet and thank you for stepping up to the plate.

On August 12th, our council teamed up with Paws with a Cause for a fundraiser at Star Jaycee Park in Royal Oak. This fundraiser brought in $400.00 profit. A special thank you to all the Knights that participated in this event and to Gharios and Associates for donating ice cream for this event

Further thanks to brother knight Brian Malover for hosting our Annual council summer picnic. It was terrific to see new faces and families enjoying themselves. (See further pictures on our website:  www.kofc12408.com )

There are many more events coming up over the next few months, please go to our website and attend our meetings. As a reminder we meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:30 in the Shrine Conference Center. Hope to see you at our meetings.

Vivat Jesus!
